Understanding The Kingdom Of God And The Church Of Jesus Christ

For those who seriously study the Word of God! As you study the Word of God, remember these two things:

The first is that the Italians have a saying, “Traduttore, Traditore.” It means, “translator, traitor.” Or more freely, “All translators are traitors.”

So as one studies the Word of God there is much need to check and double-check original words that if translated wrongly could give an inaccurate understanding of what was originally stated.

And the second thing is this: please remember to whom the Scriptures were written to over 2000 years ago. There are times when we are not careful, we could forget that there was an actual audience (audience relevance) that these Scriptures were spoken/written to over 2000 years ago and their culture and language were very, very different from ours of today. As a matter English as a language was not even spoken back then.

And while we are eternally grateful for the many translators who have worked to translate the original manuscripts from Hebrew and Greek to English and the many, many other languages that exist, we still have to truly study the Word of God, full of the Holy Spirit and be very knowledgeable and obedient to His Voice and Leading...
